Wildlife Walk around Nant y Pandy / Llyn Cefni

Description:
  • Meet at Nant y Pandy, Llangefni (St Cyngar’s Church car park, behind the Coed y Glyn Doctors’ Surgery) for a guided walk through the Nature Reserve with volunteers from the North Wales Wildlife Trust.
  • Approx 1.5 hrs walk suitable for all abilities and wheelchair/pushchair accessible.
  • Wildlife identification guides will be provided together with a tick-list for children.
  • The group will be encouraged to stop throughout and listen to tune into bird calls.
  • Option to extend the walk to approx 3 hrs to include Llyn Cefni, still suitable for all abilities and wheelchair/pushchair accessible.
  • No dogs please.

Participants' requirements:
  • Clothes suitable for a walk outside
  • Good footwear
  • Binoculars if possible

  • £3.50 (Under 5 years free)

Drawing Sound and Birdsong

Description:
  • Beginning inside and then during a walk outside, Kim will encourage you to listen to the environment and any birds making a noise as integral to that.
  • This will give the opportunity for a focussed session of listening and responding to sounds and finding equivalent marks, colours and textures for them using materials including charcoal, chalks and graphite to produce a sound diary.

Make a Recycled Bird Feeder

  • Make a bird feeder from either lard and recycled yoghurt pots or pine cones and peanut butter.
  • A messy workshop.
